Proper installation ensures your steel edging stays rigid, straight, and locked in place against heavy foot traffic and mowers. Follow these steps:

1. Map Your Lines: Lay out your lines or curves using a garden hose or marking paint to map out where your edging will go.
2. Trench the Path: Dig a narrow trench along your marked line roughly 2 to 3 inches deep, depending on how much of the 4-inch profile you want exposed above ground.
3. Set the Edging: Place the 10-foot steel sections into the trench, interlocking or aligning them end-to-end for continuous clean lines. Use a rubber mallet to tap them level if needed.
4. Anchor with Stakes: Drive the included steel stakes through the integrated slots at a slight angle into the ground, spacing them evenly along the length of the piece to lock the steel firmly in place.
5. Backfill: Pack soil, mulch, or rock tightly against both sides of the steel barrier to stabilize the finished edge.
