Road Base (also known as Caliche) is a compactable limestone base material designed to create a strong, stable foundation. It contains a mix of crushed stone and fines that lock together when compacted, making it ideal for driveways, parking pads, roads, patios, and under pavers.

This is a structural base material this is not a decorative gravel.

• Compact properly during installation to reduce future settling.
• Lightly regrade high-traffic areas if surface becomes uneven.
• Add additional material over time if minor erosion occurs.
• Maintain proper drainage to prevent washouts.
• Re-compact if disturbed during repairs or trenching.

• Clear area of grass, debris, and loose soil.
• Grade and level the subgrade.
• Spread material in 2–3 inch lifts.
• Lightly moisten if dry.
• Compact each lift thoroughly using a plate compactor or roller.
• Repeat lifts until desired depth is reached.

Recommended depth:
4 to 6 inches for driveways
6 to 8 inches for roads or heavy traffic areas

Coverage:
One cubic yard covers approximately 100 square feet at 3 inches deep.
