Utility Concrete Mix

SCP Utility Concrete Mix 4000 is an 80 lb ready-to-use concrete mix designed for general concrete projects around the home, landscape, or jobsite. It is a solid choice for setting posts and poles, pouring small pads, walkways, curbs, footings, and other concrete repair or installation projects.

This bagged concrete mix is convenient for smaller jobs where you do not need bulk concrete delivered. Just add water, mix to the proper consistency, and place it where needed.

Each bag is 80 lb / 36.2 kg.

Prepare the area by removing loose material, dirt, roots, or debris. If pouring a slab, walkway, or curb, build a form and compact the base before placing the concrete.

Add clean water gradually and mix until the concrete reaches a workable consistency. Avoid adding too much water, as this can weaken the finished concrete. Place the mix into the form or hole, level it, and finish the surface as needed.

For posts or poles, place the post in the hole, pour the mixed concrete around it, and make sure the post is straight before the concrete begins to set.

Allow the concrete to cure properly before applying heavy weight or traffic. Keep the surface lightly moist during the early curing period when possible, especially in hot or dry weather.

Avoid overwatering during mixing and protect fresh concrete from heavy rain, freezing temperatures, or fast drying. Proper curing helps improve strength and long-term durability.
