Product Information

75/25 Soil Mix – Premium Top Soil in Austin, TX

Our 75/25 Soil Mix is a premium top soil blend made from 75% screened loam and 25% organic compost. It is designed to improve soil structure, promote healthy root growth, and enhance water retention.

This blend is ideal for new sod installation, lawn leveling, garden beds, and general landscape improvement projects across the Austin area. The added compost provides nutrients while the loam base gives stability and structure.

Whether you’re refreshing a lawn or building new planting beds, this mix gives you a strong foundation for long-term growth.

How to Install 75/25 Top Soil

  1. Prepare the Area
Remove weeds, debris, and old grass. Lightly rake or loosen existing soil to help bonding.
  2. Spread Evenly
Apply soil at 2–4 inches deep for new lawns or 1–2 inches for top dressing and leveling.
  3. Level and Grade
Use a rake to smooth and create proper drainage away from structures.
  4. Water Thoroughly
Lightly water after installation to help the soil settle and activate compost nutrients.
  5. Install Sod or Seed
Lay sod immediately or seed within 24–48 hours for best results.

This soil mix works best for:

• New sod installation
 • Lawn leveling and repair
 • Garden bed preparation
 • Raised beds
 • Flower beds
 • General yard improvement

If you’re unsure how much you need, one cubic yard covers approximately 100 square feet at 3 inches deep.

• Keep soil moist during the first 1–2 weeks after installation
 • Avoid heavy foot traffic until grass is established
 • Fertilize as needed depending on grass type
 • Monitor drainage and avoid overwatering

For best results in Austin’s heat, maintain consistent watering during the establishment period.
